Biography
BILLY WALSH is a singer-songwriter with an almost endless memory for the familiar and obscure in the Irish and American Music Repertoire. His voice ranges from a full-bodied baritone to a true, clear tenor. Several of his original songs have won awards in The Billboard Song Contest and The American Song Festival. He has performed in concert with other songwriters and musicians such as David Mallett, Lucy Kaplansky, Garnet Rogers, Billy Novick and Guy Van Deuser, Ronee Blakely, Lui Collins and even Mel Torme. His first CD of original songs, ART, SEX, AND RELIGION, earned critical acclaim and featured members of the band as well as Matt Glaser, Tim Archibald, Johnny Cunningham, Greg Lyons, and Ruth Dornfeld. Dubbed, “The Human Jukebox”, by friends and fans, Billy has the vocal ability, emotional depth, and lyrical command to artistically express a wide range of musical styles.
