Good Time Tonight is a compilation album put together by Columbia in 1990. These tracks by Big Bill Broonzy are from late '30s to early '40s from earlier recordings. A lot of it is typical of the south-side Chicago blues sound that he helped create. The producer, Lawrence Cohn, did a really good job of getting these old mono recordings together and the engineering allows the music and talent to come through directly.
