4 (Expanded Edition) is the expanded version of American singer Beyoncé’s fourth studio album titled 4 (2011). It features an entirely different tracklist and two new songs, “Dance for You” and “Schoolin' Life.”
With 4, Beyoncé was seeking to make more artistic music, rather than purely commercially-oriented songs. Released on June 24, 2011, by Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records, 4 was the first release by Beyoncé after her separation, professionally, from her father and manager Mathew Knowles.
The album was supported by five international singles, “Run the World (Girls)”, “Best Thing I Never Had”, “Party” featuring André 3000, “Love on Top”, and “Countdown”.
