Besa Kokedhima is a very well known Albanian singer from Qeparo, Himara.
She was born on the 29th of May 1986. She lived in Fier (city in Albania) for a couple of years, then her family moved to Tirana (capital of Albania) where she attended her studies.
She was continually involved in school music activities as a solo singer, where she was noted for her singing talent. She was praised for the special colour and tone of her voice.
At the age of 15 she moved to England (UK) for her High school studies.Simultaneously she took piano lessons.
At the age of 17 she was the winner of "UK International Students Talent Contest" in which she was supposed to compete as a pianist, later switched to singing as her piano teacher, introduced to her singing couple of hours before the show, got very enthusiastic about her voice.
At the age of 19 she returned to Albania, and started working on her 1st album which was published on the 29th of July 2006.
Her 1st album sold about 15.000 CD-s and tapes for it's big hits at the time "Zonja dhe zoterinj" and "Mengjesi im je ti". She was chosen to rappresent Albania at the MTV Exit concert, later that year.
She has participated in many Albanian music contests, such as "Kenga Magjike" 2006 & 2007 which she was awarded respectively "Best Dance" with "Tani te dua" and "Jon Music" with "Pa yllin tend".
In "Notafest" 2006 Macedonia, she won the jury's 1st prize with a successful song in Albania, "Leshoje Hapin".
In "TOP FEST", a major Albanian festival, she was awarded "Best Pop & Rock" in 2007 with her hit "Unik" and in 2008 she won the "Internet" and the 1st prize with her major hit "Engjejt vrasin njelloj".
She is working on her 2nd album which will be out in 2009. She lives with her partner in Tirana.
