I really like the catchy and accessible direction Behemoth go with on this album. I hate the production sound though, so I don't find myself wanting to listen to it very often. If it had a mix similar to the killer sound of Evangelion, The Apostasy, or Demigod, I'd be more stoked on ILYAYD.

It felt like many people were judging the album based on Nergal's public image. People love to hate. Sure, there's that evolution Behemoth made stylistically and while "ILAYD" may not be as good as "The Satanist", it's still a decent album with a lot of great songs, atmosphere and significance. Honestly, while others seem to grant success only until the artist actually achieves success, I respect Nergal for what he does and how he uses his popularity.

The new album is definitely a grower. After a multiple listens, I can say that the album has risen in my esteem. Althought, there is almost nothing so far that is particularly outstanding. Most of the tracks has a certain vibe that I really enjoy, but overall I think it's done much better on The Satanist. Other than that, there are a few songs that I find quite unremarkable and weak, especially for Behemoth's standard. For me, since the last fifteen years or so, the band has always continued to evolve and perfected its identity, Evangelion is for me their ultimate record. I personnally prefer their 00s albums, as a matter of taste, but nonetheless I truly enjoy The Satanist. Concerning the new album, I think this is more of a hinge album and rather experimental to find new territories. Let's hope the next one will be much better.

At first I was a little bit disappointed by the new album, then after few listenings it grow in my, but in the end I've just lost interest. I'm still going back to "the Satanist" and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna forget about this one in a while. But cmon, its still good, good enough, but not excellent

The dreary dense atmosphere on this album is just beautiful. Sure it's not The Satanist but why should you try replecate an uncontested album?

Absolutely love it. The Satanist was total lightning in a bottle, but wow if this isn't something stunning as well. Pretty clear to me that Behemoth are at their creative peak with these two records.

Just one listening at the moment. Some really boring parts (reminds me to Cradle of Filth... disgusting), others are cool. It's just an "okey album".

Agreed, after listening to the entire thing four times, I have found out this is one of the weakest albums on par with Thelema.6, It's not engaging me enough, and it plows through no emotions through me. I have yet to find out if this grows on me.

Yet, come to think of it. I imagine this as a follow-up indeed, this feels like a man who have contemplated The Satanist-trenches, this album then is something out of an afterthought (Vol. 2?). The misery in the doubt is felt on here, thought to have come from the preivous tracks from the best parts of Satanist. The last four songs have deeply reached me, and the first four songs really fits in the atmospher. The last transitions to the last part of the album are also very eerie, and very out-of-style when it comes to Behemoth, this I've come to enjoy. I look foward to seing them live after three years of waiting, and the songs on here are good if one gives them a listen in its entirety (x11).

Listened to it again and again and now I can say that it's getting more enjoyable. I like the songs from If Crucifixion to the end of the album. But it's still very melodic to me. The 3 songs released before are the ones that I enjoyed less.
