You can't be a fan of sixties music, without mentioning Barry McGuire. One of my favorite songs of his was featured in the movie: The President's Analyst, starring James Coburn. It was released as a single, and hard to acquire since the movie soundtrack was never released. It's called "Inner Manipulations", one of Barry's best!

Graduated from hs in 1965, when this was released. Listening to its lyrics, the message is as relevant Today, as it was then ~ Perhaps even more so

I like his Christian music especially "The Witness" a musical on the life of Christ from Peter's point of view. You can get it directly from the author/composer, Jimmy Owens, though the version is a little cut down to fit to a single CD.

Looking at the played list it's easy to see why he's known as a one-hit-wonder by my parents.

my whole childhood my '45 born father was whistling the melody of eve of destruction. as i was 15 or 16 and ask him what tune hes whistling all the time, he paused for a moment and then he answered; uh, i don't know.. some great old stuff.. can't forget it - ...love my father
