Wiki
"Baby Blue" was a single by Badfinger, off their 1971 album Straight Up. Lead singer Pete Ham wrote the song about a woman named Dixie Armstrong, whom he had dated. Musically, it is a pop-rock and power pop song, and charted to #14 on the US singles chart in 1971. It missed the UK's charts.
"Baby Blue" also appeared in the US drama series Breaking Bad, where it was played during the closing scene of the show's final episode. Joey Molland, the last surviving member of the classic line-up of Badfinger, took to Twitter to express his excitement at the song's use in the finale as well. Following the song's use in the hit show, streams online increased in popularity exponentially almost immediately following the broadcast. This also caused it to chart on the UK for the first time ever, reaching #73.
"Baby Blue" also made an appearance in Martin Scorsese's 2006 Oscar-winning film, The Departed.
