Hi, just popping back in from when I C/P'd this in 2013 to say that although I still don't listen to Japanese music as much as I did when I was younger, I will always have a soft spot for these two chicks. [6] I will always wait for them. I still get excited when listening to their songs. Love you forever, ladies.

@Ricardo_Abe: YUKI has decided to put her singing on hold — and will shift to the role of producer — desiring to take on a greater goal of supporting other amateur and professional musicians. -wiki-

Yeah I'm interested to see how their collaborations are gonna turn out. Apparently they're working with American artist BECCA (who only has releases in Japan) for the first single "Dreamer", coming out in November. They'll be calling themselves BENNIE BECCA for the single. I'm gonna miss YUKI's vocals, but I'm sure she'll be back eventually. If you're curious as to why they're making this change - it seems they want to give back to the music community that enabled them to become recognized artists. I guess a lot of folks helped them along the way... :-)

Glad to know BENNIE K's not dead, but ... YUKI, NOOOO. WHY YOU DO THIS YUKI, WHY. CICO's still good, but YUKI's vocals are half the reason why I started listening to these two. I'm not going to stop listening to BENNIE K, though and I can't wait for what they have in store next for the world.

Yuki and Cico are great! I was very lucky to have attended one of their shows in Tokyo soon after they released "The World." I really recommend the song 青い鳥 (Aoi Tori), which means "Blue Bird" in English (from "The World"). I'm surprised at how low it is on the top tracks list! "The World" samples a lot of different world music sounds - and "Blue Bird" was supposed to represent Japan. BENNIE K went on a "voyage" during the album - and I always imagined "Blue Bird" as them returning to Japan and reflecting on their journey and experiences. The "Blue Bird" melody is also the third and final theme of "Around THE WORLD -Reprise-," a track that really pulls the album together. Also, please take a listen to "Endless Summer" a song they made with Blaise Plant of MONKEY MAJIK (from THE BENNIE K SHOW 2). It's a really chill song for summer! Makes me think of relaxing by the ocean. Anyway, I can't wait for BENNIE K to start working on a new album!
