“Suck It and See” is a song about having an almost unhealthy affection for someone (“Your love is like a studded leather headlock/Be cruel to me, ‘cause I’m a fool for you”). It’s rather romantic but doesn’t stick to the usual clichés. Alex uses very creative metaphors, similes and other techniques to combine the beauty of a classic love song and reinvent it. It is the title track from Arctic Monkeys’ fourth album.
The Suck It and See Songfacts reports this was the first time that the Arctic Monkeys had recorded a song that shared a title with the album it was on.
