The band visited the famous Electric Lady Studios in New York to take part in the Spotify Singles series, where an original and a cover is recorded. The band chose the untitled closing track “—” from Stephen Fretwell’s 2004 record "Magpie". Fretwell and Alex Turner have been linked for many years – Fretwell played bass on a 2008 tour with Turner’s side project The Last Shadow Puppets, and as far as back as 2005, Fretwell exclaimed his love for Arctic Monkeys, describing them as “pretty crazy live”.
