Another Race, formerly known as Biscuit, formed in Melbourne in 1995. With Wesz Parry on vocals and great vocals at that, sets the professional and original grounds for the group. The other members, which include Matt D'arcy on the drums, Jake Nicolaisen with the bass and the new Cal Bison with the lead guitar all create a sound that Australian music has yet to see, untill now. With an amazing live performance, AR have taken Victoria by storm. Great shows, great CD's and a strong folowing from the underage scene and the licensed scene.
Once they played 70 underage gigs in one year. They have played with the likes of Incubus, Silverchair, P.O.D, Blink 182 and many more. AR released there first EP in 2000, Processor. This contained the video 'Fall Down' which was a hit with national radio and charted on MTV's request show as well as a favourite with Channel V on Foxtell. In November 2001 they released their first single Jumpin', which aired on the Rage program everyweek for over 3 months, along with more radio play. Jumpin went on to become more popular than their first EP, with it breaking the record for an ozzi band with 13 weeks in a row on JJJ Net 50. The single 'I Lied' built up to the album 'Tag & Release' on September 2nd 2002. Now, with new guitarist Cal, replacing Chris Carty's guitar position, the band has played 70 shows in 6 months around Australia including live performances on TV and radio.
