Animal Alpha was an alternative rock band from Norway that formed in 2002. The singer Agnete Maria Forfang Kjølsrud wanted to play in a band that already existed. After a while she got a call from Christian Wibe who had a band, but lacked a singer. Thus Animal Alpha was born.

Other Band Members Include: Lars Imre Bidtnes on bass, Thomas Emil Jacobsen on drums and Christer-André Cederberg on guitar. Agnete writes all the lyrics, and Christian most of the melodies. They have played gigs at many norwegian festivals, including: Storåsfestivalen, Øya-festivalen, Stavernfestivalen. They have also sold out John Dee in Oslo. Nominated to this years Alarmprisen in Norway, for best breakthrough.

Animal Alpha have also played at Download 2006 where they were on the Myspace stage, even when they were hardly known in the UK, they had quite a crowd, people listening and enjoying.

They have released one EP (Animal Alpha EP), and two studio albums, being
