Recorded in the same studio space as Norwegian elder-statesmen Lindstrøm, Todd Terje, and Prins Thomas, André Bratten's debut full-length is set to be released on May 6 via Prins Thomas' Full Pupp label. Before its release, Bratten has made that LP available to stream in full. Bearing the, um, interesting title Be a Man You Ant, the album establishes Bratten as a serious contender to lead the next generation of Oslo's space-disco producers. Created under extremely limited constraints—the producer is said to have used only one modular synthesizer and a drum machine to make the record—Be a Man You Ant nevertheless feels sprawling and lush, making it easy to lose oneself in its minimal, motorik grooves.
