Norwegian Grammy award winner Amund is working towards the release of his new album to be releases in February 2015.

Energetic guitar rocker Amund has a long running reputation for extraordinary live shows and being hailed as one of the finest guitarists in Norway. He recently finished a tour in the UK and Scotland and is currently finishing up his next album, entitled Volt.

“This time we´re moving towards a darker and heavier sound” says Amund of the new album. “I´m constantly searching for a musical palette where I can draw from heroes such as David Bowie, Jack White, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Iggy Pop and The Queens of the Stone Age,” the frontman explains.
Amunds former band, psych-rock outfit The Grand, played a full concert which aired on WDR Rockpalast, played the Roskilde Festival and created a wave of appraisal, which set Amund off on his solo career by 2010. “The Grand was the band where we really learned to stretch out and jam and also fuse our blues roots with writing rock songs,” says Amund.

Amund released the solo albums Electric and Dirt in 2011 and 2012 which earned him both a Norwegian Grammy and a nomination.

With new album “Volt” in the making, the sneak peaks reveal that Amund has not forgotten how to lead a loud rock band. It is evident through his singing, writing and guitar playing that Amund is one to watch.
