Amber Smith was formed in 2000 by singer-songwriter Imre Poniklo as a temporary project. Due to critical acclaim, they carried on until autumn 2001 when he moved to London (just after the release of their first EP, "there is no way"). Moving back to Budapest a year later songsmith imre reformed the band with new members, and released their first LP in Germany titled "My little servant". It was followed by several German tours, and additional shows in France, Croatia, Czech republic, Spain, and 2 concerts in Tokyo, Japan in 2004. The second album called "Reprint" came out in 2006, with new sound, new ambitions and great collaborators - just to mention, the album was mixed and partly produced by Cocteau Twins mastermind Robin Guthrie, while the title track is produced by Yonderboi.
