The Amazon Ensemble is a world music ensemble based in Oslo, Norway, with its roots in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. The group was established in order to rescue and preserve the rich traditional arts of the Amazon Indians, and to build a musical and cultural bridge between different worlds. Naturally, the group is broadening its music, integrating elements from many ethnic minorities and traditions such as south Asian, Brazilian and Norwegian folk music.

Led by the Brazilian musicians Eduardo Agni and Txai Fernando - both lived in the Jungle and are officially initiated in different indigenous traditions - and the Norwegian instrumentalist and ethno music researcher Sigmund Vatvedt. The ensemble is comprised of Tal Coleman (Israel) on the bansuri flute, Célio de Carvalho (Braszil) on percussion, Robin Shorabi-Shiraz (Norge) on sax, Endre Hareide (Norge) on bass.
Often the group is enhanced by the participation of special guests, master musicians from different ethnic backgrounds.
