Not my favorite AC Band record, but easily the most diverse. Perennially underrated, even by Alice himself, every time I listen to this I am just amazed at the variety of genres on this album. Proves that AC could have been a prog group if Alice Cooper himself wasn't so commercially inclined.

Late replying to this, but yes, they definitely had the chops as a band to cut it as a Prog band. Glen Buxton was one of the great guitarists of his day, Michael Bruce complemented him brilliantly on rhythm guitar (both were good at coming up with chords and riffs), Dennis Dunaway is one of the most overlooked and undervalued of Rock's great bassists and Neal Smith has some really solid chops on drums. I read that "Halo of Flies" was the band's attempt to prove they could play Prog like King Crimson, and you also hear it a bit on "Dead Babies" and parts of Billion Dollar Babies and this album. But Alice (the man) had a real knack for writing tough-sounding Guitar Rock/Hard Rock so that's where they largely played. No complaints here because this band was arguably THE great Hard Rock act of the 70s, IMO.

Yes, they are my favorite from that era too, as you can tell by my most listened to artists. Behind only The Beatles!

Good album, but doesn't hold a candle to Love It to Death, Killer or Billion Dollar Babies.

not his best album, but still great. grows on you big time, still more inventive and better than 90% of the tunes of the time

Wow, really surprised with how good this is. It's kind of like Zappa? Didn't expect this at all, thought I'd be getting pretty standard rock music

The original vinyl pressing came with an actual pair of panties on the record. Only Alice Cooper...

This album took quite some time to grow on me. Now that I enjoy it, I cannot believe that there was a point that I didn't like it.

This is an awesome album. Like, seriously. And I echo many of the others that although School Out is a fantastic song, and a great intro to the album, the others simply cannot be ignored. They are too good to be ignored!

Never liked this one as much as the other ones. Don't know why really, I know it's good, just doesn't work for me.

Very creative album. Blue Turk, Alma Mater and My Stars are my favourites. School's Out is a classic but I've heard it one too many times ...
