Alan R. Splet (December 31, 1939 - December 2, 1994) was a sound designer and sound editor. He worked on numerous film projects throughout his career, including Eraserhead, Dune, Blue Velvet and The Black Stallion for which he won the Oscar. He had a long-lasting and fruitful working relationship with the director David Lynch, with whom he worked on many films (see David Lynch & Alan R. Splet).
