Looove the album at first listen. It flows so good between songs, every song has something good to offer. Love the shift in mood between the first and second half.

It's fine, but Alan definitely released the strongest songs on the record as singles ... and even then, I was only into about maybe half of them with Stay at Home DJ and Club People. Album really slows down toward the back half, and sadly it doesn't really have enough going on to warrant repeated listens. Bit of a bummer as his three Neon Indian records are absolutely flawless in my opinion, even Era which most people might say is his weakest was one of my absolute favorite records (if not my top) album of 2011 that year. If this was the record he felt he had to get out in the eight years he's been away, good on him I suppose.

2nd half is better imo, but fair enough. It’ll probably grow on you, unless you just don’t like jazz that much
