When I first listened to this song, I was in my backyard raking leaves. The song to me has been inseparable from that image ever since.

Lovely atmospheric, post-metal, folk metal, doom metal. :):) Love it every day of my life.

Easily one of my favorite tracks by Agalloch very nostalgic, melancholic and peaceful sounding song. I think of winters past during the holidays with family and friends around a roaring fire with mead in hand...

This and Birch Black are simply amazing. Unbelievably compelling songs, and considering they're both relatively short and without lyrics, just goes to show how much Agalloch deals with emotions on a melodic level, rather than basing everything on lyrics. Again, amazing.

To hear this song again has filled me with so much joy. It's unfathomable, this sensation. I want to live in those clouds. I feel like it would give me much pleasure to see the world from its ceiling.

ahahahhaha: "There is also somewhat a political statement behind [Odal]. I wrote it as a personal protest against George W. Bush's apathetic, ignorant, and destructive view towards the environment. I really hate that fucking idiot and his bullshit administration." - Haughm
