This group is the story of my life, they found me when I needed them the most, they've brought me so much happiness and just one listen and my mood is instantly way happier, I can't thank you enough AJR

ok so i'm a huge ajr fan and i'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but i can totally see why people hate on them. shitty pop music for pre schoolers. but to us fans, that shitty pop music has helped us through some rough times. it's fine to hate them, it's fine to make fun of them, but what you cannot deny is that they have helped people through their music and that's one of the best things a musician(or band) can do.

I was depressed. I've been depressed. But i was so depressed. I started listening to maybe man. I was incredibly sad and. I was so sad i started listening to maybe man. I was so sad i started laughing. I started laughing at how sad i was. Maybe man was playing in my ears while tears were flowing out of my eyes and i was crying. I was crying. I was laughing. Maybe man. It made me laugh. I was laughing and crying. Please. Please never. never go through. never go through what i went through. Never go through what i went through. Never go through what i went through. Please.

Possibly the greatest band in the world, only band that can compare to them would be The Chainsmokers. Ajr's Thirsty (my favourite track btw) absolutely fills me with joy. If I don't listen to Thirsty every 5 minutes, I will suffer extreme withdrawal side effects.

If you've listened to them and don't see the problem, you never will. Enjoy your blissful ignorance.

I know it's cool to hate on them or whatever but when I first heard them I had a viscerally bad reaction to their sound, and I was just sitting there in the car with 2 people who were like "OMG this is my favorite song RN! SOOOO GOOD" and for the first time in my life I felt like I genuinely didn't understand something nor the two people that were my friends. I felt insane. Normally when I dislike something someone loves, I usually at the very least understand the appeal. I just couldn't. It was very validating to discover other people feel the same about this group. But also, I feel guilty adding hate to the band wagon cause I genuinely feel bad for them with the amount of hate they get over their attempts at vulnerability through music

My friend showed me a song by AJR, a band I had managed to shield myself from prior to today. I kept thinking, "This music sounds like the lovechild of a Disney adult and Ronald McDonald." Anyway, I wish I could turn back the clock and go back to being blissfully unaware again.

I can understand why this music might rub some people the wrong way, but I feel that a lot of the hate is a bit like a meme at this point. I just thought I'd post that I quite like AJR. The lyrics can be a bit cringe and I don't rate everything they've done, but overall I feel they're trying something different with a pop sound and I'm interested to see what comes next. Favourites of mine are Bang! and Bud like you.
