Same here. I loved the atmosphere. It was very dark, yet slick and smooth all while also very wild at the same time.

As someone who grew up listening to their old stuff, I can finally say that this album has grown on me. Probably their most complete album since Sing The Sorrow.

I'm truly glad to read that from someone that has been listening to them since "they were punk." I absolutely hate those who bash the band for not doing the same old, boring shit most bands did back in the days. This album shows the craftsmanship they posses as artists. Incredibly talented and beautiful people. Why fucking contain them doing the same fucking "punk" all the time. They've been alternative in so many ways for more than a decade now. I'm glad you realized and loved the album for what it is.

lol at anybody who disses 'Crash Love' while loving this. You clearly never listened to that album properly because plenty of that style has carried over and is part of the sound of 'Burials'... You can find the style of 'Crash Love' in the following songs... - A Deep Slow Panic - 17 Crimes - The Conductor - Heart Stops - Rewind - Wild (if it was slowed down) - Greater Than 84 - Anxious

So much better than "Crash Love" was, and better than "Decemberunderground" too (though I - gasp! - actually liked that one).
