One of the first CDs i ever bought, such an electric album. I'll be suprised if it doesn't get added to the National Recording Registry a few decades from now.

it's incredible how they could be gone for 20 years, argue and fight over just about everything and then come back to make an album as stellar as this. And then added to that, the sad and untimely dead of Phife making this also the final salute to an awesome rapper and great group.

So for being in a time where pure hiphop isn't seen as much in rap anymore it's insanely nice to see this artistic old-school rapgroup return again with this album. As there was a big loss in the group, with the unfortunate and sad passing away of Phife Dawg (Rest In Piece), it was ofcourse really courageous of the group to publish this album. Lost Somebody is by far one of the most lyricly emotional and well done songs of the group and how they ended the song is artistic and well done. My favourite song atm is also in this album, Ego. It has this dark vibe which I myself enjoy and the lyrics are really good. They go over some of the things the ego bias indeed does. The examples are perfect and the rhymes are nice. Really shows you how much the artists have grown and how they dare tackling these subjects. But the one that really stands out for most people: We The People..., just a perfect lyrical song that makes a good stance on equality (in my oppinion).

To quote this year's noble prize winner: "Behind every beautiful thing, there's some kind of pain."
