A Kite Is A Victim, otherwise known as AKIAV, was formed 11 years ago in Miami Fl. and now resides in Los Angeles, CA. AKIAV has 5 albums out, "Home" "Raw Flow" "Splinters" "To the gods/Miami red sky" and "Lost in L.A." The latter was released in 2008. They have shared the stage with Mark K. from the Red House Painters and Low and Ida several times. Singer and guitarist for AKIAV, Al Galvez, was also one of the original founders of the band's label and now iconic Space Cadette Records, where many of today's known artists toured through as their projects early incarnations. The music of AKIAV is cinematic, like the soundtrack of a dark dream. Ethereal, epic and mystical, this music is the worm hole between the spiritual world and the mortal flesh.
