Wow, 55 tracks of 30-50 seconds each? Bro is really messing with our scrobbles 😂 /// Jokes aside, this is a fire album, as usual

The way he combines all these styles though is what has made him such a great producer. He came out of that generation of hip hop producers, like Just Blaze and Kanye, who'd further popularize the chipmunk soul that was started by RZA.

When 9th came out most people said he was like a mix between Premo and Pete Rock, when in actuality there's much more of a subtle RZA and Dilla influence I think.

This is a gem, takes a few listens but once you dig it you'll find yourself in too deep to climb out! Shit way of describing its allure, but...at least I tried!

Just bought the album today. I liked the 9th rapping, maybe the worst on the entire album technically speaking, but as a 9th fan that knows the history, you gotta love what the verses are about. I still think Talib Kweli had the best verse on the album, then again maybe Murs or Von Pea for the best verses. Miller's ok for me. Might be my favorite album of the year tbh. I picked it up today & the new Common album was right next to it, lol, actually felt bad for not picking up Common's album, but I'd waited three months for the new 9th already haha.
