Heavy and explosive drums, insane rough vocals and lots of rhythmic distortion are the basis of the sound made by the brazilian group 6SICKS6.
Gabriel Mayer on vocals, William Godoy on guitar and backing vocals, Cristiano Zanatta on bass and Duda Lara on drums, are the four members of "Sicks" – as the band is called by their fans.
Their live set is mostly composed by original works; their songs are a unique mix of metalcore beats, terrorrizing vocals and a remarkable heavy and desperate atmosphere. Their live performances are wild and furious: be aware not to be - or to be - caught in the middle of the moshpit and expect sequences of mad stage dives. 'Sicks' also covers songs from artists such as Slipknot and fellow brazilians' Sepultura – both bands who influenced their earlier music career.
The band's debut was held in a public stage back in 2002, and since then they've gathered a faithful fanbase - many of whom also follow their concerts in different cities. In the past few years the group's performances have been more focused in Porto Alegre, the biggest city in southern Brazil. Most of the underground metal festivals placed there have included 6SICKS6 as one of their main acts.
