Have you listened to 'Wrong Side of the Tracks'? They're definitely breakcore sometimes.

returning to this band, to "the fall of math", feels like home. "fix the sky a little" still is one of my favorite songs of all time. they + 3 other bands brought me to post-rock 17 years ago, I went to see them live 2 times in a row, I was addicted. 65dos still are such a unique band. hopefully, they will release a new full album eventually, after all these years...

I mean, their last album was a few years ago with Replicr, 2019. Hasn't been terribly long. They're currently working on another big project that they've shared bits and pieces of on Patreon. I don't know how far along that record is, but it'll probably be out next year if I were to guess.

I was stimming so hard listening to Retreat! Retreat! and I felt like a complete nerd

She’s written sixty five songs. Sixty five. They’re all about you. They’re all about pain.

If like me you dipped out of Wreckage Systems last year because it got boring, highly recommend you check out the new version of the stream that launched this year - you can see all the patch commands going on and the new sounds are boss. https://www.youtube.com/65propaganda/live

Under The Summs is a good one. To me it seems closer to the No Man's Sky than Replicr.

Really like replicr vibe, more ambient-like and focused on creative sound design. Pretty different from their previous works though, so hardcore fans could be disappointed.

it’s very natural to start making “boring” music when you get older, isn't it?

no matter how many time passes without listening to 65, everytime I come back it's always better than what I remember

Субъективно же. Как по мне, слишком мелодично, лирично. В отличии от Астронавтов, или Зигу Рёш.

it's like your heart is a person, and 65dos is another person, and they punch your heart so hard it hurts and it breaks into pieces but at the end they pull the pieces back together and hug you and you cry and it's 4 am

I totally feel what you describe, it reminds me of my own experiences with this band, good old times… They are one of the 3 post-rock bands I got to know almost 13 years ago that instantly made me fall in love with this kind of music. 65dos’s first 3 albums had an enormous impact on my emotional state back then, and still have, just less strongly, whenever I decide to return to one of these albums from time to time. However, I’m seriously pissed that they haven’t released a new standalone album for fkkkng 6 years by now… XD

65 were also one of my first post rock bands. Nostalgia hits hard when I listen to them; it's a strange feeling because it also brings back bad memories but oh well. Nice library btw.

I can relate to that, besides, listening to post-rock seems perfectly suitable for feeling nostalgia because it makes one‘s thoughts associatively travel through memories. Even though it might sound a bit corny: What’s gone is gone, good or bad, but the music remains, thus remain memoires associated with the music. Although it sometimes feels sadomasochistic, I do like these journey (as well), one of my reasons for loving this kind of music.

You totally should. I recommend you the Circadia album. It amazes me how unpopular they are; I saw them live and their performance was outstanding.

It took two years too long but their sound track is now paired with a good game.

I lost interest in this band after "One Time for All Time" (I enjoy the first two albums just nicely, even though I don't listen to them that much anymore). Since they'll be around soon and I'll get a chance to go see them, I should probably stop appreciating the visual landscape of No Man's Sky for a while and focus on its audio landscape instead.

Weird, I could never get into this band, but I fell into the NMS soundtrack on my very first listen.

I was never much of a fan of this band until I got No Man's Sky. The loose, improv-feel of some of the more atmospheric pieces just adds a whole new level of enjoyment for the game. The more composed pieces feel better than anything I've heard on their albums. Probably one of the better game soundtracks ever.
