The man she is in a relationship with appears to be oblivious to the fact that the physical and/or emotional abuse is only making it hard for the woman he loves, causing her to feel stressed and unhappy in his presence.
When Pac hears the girl’s voice in the introduction of the song, he sees that she’s not truly happy with the guy she’s currently with…
Because this girl has problems in her relationship, Pac wants to alleviate the pain and stress she is under.
Note the contrast between “a brighter day” and “late night.” Late night phone conversations usually happen between couples, so envisioning Pac as this girl’s boyfriend, they could talk about anything under the sun (moon in this case), which would hopefully give her life more comfort compared to how it is now with her current boyfriend.
