“n.h.i.e.” unites 21 Savage with Doja Cat for their first collaboration. The song was originally intended to appear on Doja’s fourth studio album Scarlet, being previewed live multiple times, but never made the tracklist.
The title is an acronym for “Never Have I Ever,” a party game where participants take a shot if they ever did an action mentioned during the game. As put by Savage, he’d never go against his morals. In similar vain, Doja Cat establishes her independent identity, being somebody who values self-respect and empowerment.
