“née-nah” is an incredibly bouncy and down-to-the-core hip-hop collaboration by 21 Savage, Travis Scott and Metro Boomin, containing a prominent sample from Malcolm McLaren’s April 2004, “About Her.”

The song begins with a clean and raspy verse from Travis Scott, packed with crisp punchlines as he mentions the American singer—who seems to be the inspiration for the song’s title—Nina Simone. The track then switches to 21 Savage where he introduces a murderous flow while constantly firing bars about murder, firearms, and women.

The production on the track is handled by the prolific Metro Boomin, focusing heavily on the song’s sample sneaking its way into the verses while backed by an aggressive drum pattern and booming bass.

Travis and Metro’s appearances on the album were teased just days prior to the album by 21 himself by posting baby pictures of the album’s features to build anticipation and roll the album out.
