Gong Minji (born January 18, 1994 in Seoul, South Korea), better known by her stage name Minzy, is a South Korean dancer and singer. She was a member of girlgroup 2NE1, before leaving the group and the group's agency in April 2016.
In February 2017, it was announced the release of Minzy's first solo single as the soundtrack of the MBC drama "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People", called "I Wanted To Love (사랑하고 싶었던 거야)".
Minzy signed with a new company, Music Works, on May 2016. It was revealed that she was preparing her first solo album, she was interested in trying out different types of music and doesn’t want to limit herself to one specific genre. On April 17 she released her solo debut EP Minzy Work 01. UNO, along with the title track Ninano.
