静香 (Shizuka) was a Japanese psychedelic rock band that consisted of vocalist/guitarist Shizuka Miura, guitarist Maki Miura (ex-Fushitsusha), drummer Jun Kosougi, and a revolving line-up of bassists.
Founded in Tokyo, Japan by renown doll-maker Shizuka Miura and her husband Maki Miura, the band remained in the deep underground during its years of existence. Along with the typical haunting atmosphere of the Japanese psych scene, 静香 also brings a lot of noisy improvisation sounds.
Shizuka Miura committed suicide on January 31, 2010.
