I understand you, baterademoniaca. Same with MIW in my profile, even I like them, I don't want them on top anymore

Thank you, guys. I'm over 30 years old, but starting to listen to you again, it's like I fell back into the 00s and my edgy teen lifestyle again.

Engrave was just a song they released for the anni of their label + as a reaction to covid wrecking the Japanese gig/band industry for a good part and to "keep fighting" it. The chances of more releases are very little unless they'd suddenly get inspired again because of all the support for engrave.

I think both Nii and Shuu are in other bands (though not sure what they are doing atm, never paid enough attention). Ryo has continued producing and recently put up his own label with a first band. Satoshi resurfaces on twitter/insta every few months. He sometimes models for a clothing store/brand and as far as I get he's involved in its business (perhaps owns it)!

Yeah I'm kinda sad to find out that they've broken up, and I avoided them the whole time because of "giROOgamesh" lmao

Listening to their discography makes me realize how many good songs/albums they've released. Besides GO I don't dislike a single album (as a whole) and there are at least like 5-7 songs on every other album which I REALLY LOVE. It's really a shame they disbanded.

you know what always pissed me off about girugamesh? whenever one of their songs is going good, with some heavy riffs, amazing bassline, crazy and brutal drums, a fucking animesong chorus comes out of nowhere. like COME ON keep the song solid, not everything needs to be fucking heroic, dramatic and motivational. Their first songs are considered better for that only reason (talking about 13's reborn era and girugämesh era, even MUSIC is kinda shitty in this specific aspect). They were seemingly FINALLY getting the hang of it in these final releases, even tho' only 2 or 3 songs in each album could perform this way (as in not having choruses that sound out of place), chimera and END sounded really good, like they were going somehwere. Period was even better cuz the chorus kinda blends with the heavier parts of the song, sadly it's their last release and we'll never see a good release as solid as their earlier works. It's sad and hard to understand...

so... satoshi's throat is fucked up... that makes me genuinely sad. I'm still really confused and curious about why they disbanded at all. Anyway, this was my favorite band for a REALLY long time, they are such a big part of my life. It's strange to see they go... Goodbye I guess.

Their last song "period" is available now and it's pretty good! I'm going to miss this band.

In that part of the video it's obviously backing vocals, that's true, but for others (like END) it's his growls. It's probably due to the bad condition of his throat, so he needed a little support during some songs.... :/

@Kumanosuke: yes, I meant lip syncing, excuse my poor English skills. Satoshi sang all of the clear vocal parts, but some parts of his growl were definately lip synced. Again, the venue sound was really raw, so it was obvious. No need to be so defensive, though, I still enjoyed the performance just as much as I enjoyed it when they were here in 2014 (even if it was bittersweet this time around) and I still love the band dearly, I understand this tour was difficult and the band must be in emotional turmoil because of the disbanding, so I don't blame them.

He was lip syncing the melody in the chorus for slip out, it doesn't make sense for his shouting to be quiet and then suddenly his natural singing to be louder, it also doesn't make sense for his screams to sound exactly the same as the studio versions. It's really obvious here for example: https://youtu.be/SItPcqd5OVE?t=25m45s
