Weather Girls (ウェザーガールズ) is a seven-member Taiwanese girl group that promotes in Japan. The members include Hijon, Esse, Ria, Mia, Mini, Yumi & Nue Nue.
Weather Girls originally started in 2010, as the Taiwanese sensation 'The Weather Girls', which consisted of thirty-four girls doing monthly weather broadcasts of Taiwan and The United States. Each broadcast would contain a theme, normally inspired by Japanese culture, which lead to explosive interest across Japan. This eventually lead to the program choosing the seven most popular reporters to form an idol girl group that would debut in Japan. The group released their debut single, "恋の天気予報", on October 17, 2012.
On October 15, 2013, Dara was removed from the group following a termination of her contract. Ria was officially announced as Dara's replacement on January 24, 2014.
