Улица Восток (Ulitsa Vostok) is a post-punk band from Kyiv, Ukraine. The band's name means "East Street" in Russian, and reflects their musical influences from Eastern European and Soviet rock bands.
The band's style is characterized by dark and melancholic lyrics, distorted guitar riffs, pulsating bass lines, electronic beats, and atmospheric synth sounds. The band sings in Russian and sometimes in Ukrainian, addressing topics such as war, love, death, loneliness, and social issues.
The band has also made several music videos, directed by Max Balter and Mishka. The band has gained a loyal fan base in Ukraine and abroad, especially among the young generation who appreciate their sound, reminiscent of cult bands like Кино.
