Mickey and Jumanji was a Russian hip-hop/reggae/soul band. The band was formed and led by Sergey "Mickey" Krutikov, one of the key members of Russia's first important hip-hip groups, Bad Balance (Mickey wrote most of the music). However, Mickey left the group soon after their first major album, Город джунглей (City of Jungles). He was joined by two members of Bad Balance - Monya, the group's lead dancer, and bassist Bruce. They recorded their first and only album, Сука любовь (Love's a Bitch) in 1999. The album was a major hit, with singles "Туда" (There), "Сука любовь (Love's a Bitch)" and "Мама" (Mama) becoming major hits. Although there was talk of a second album, recording was always put off. Tragically, however, Mickey died of heart failure at 32, on October 27, 2002.
