The album entitled ‘15’ is one of the most symbolic in the singer’s career. Firstly, 15 is her favourite number. “This is my favourite age, state of mind,” says Ani Lorak. “Youth, the drive, when you are open to everything new and interesting.”
Secondly, at the age of 15, Ani won the Morning Star song contest having started a headlong career and given life to her fateful stage name. And thirdly, we have calculated that Ani Lorak has been on the big stage for 15 years! But this wasn’t at all an occasion to release a remake of old hits. ‘15’ has brand new tracks, as Ani Lorak has no desire to dwell on the past, she is confidently moving ahead, keeping up with the times. The album combines three musical moods – lyricism, dance and the drive of unplugged music. Each song of the CD is an unquestionable hit! Many of the tracks have firmly settled in the hearts of the fans – these are ‘S pervogo vzgliada’ , ‘Ya s toboy’ , ‘Verni moyu liubov’ , as well as the concert version of the Bon Jovi’s song ‘It’s my life’. By the way, John Bon Jovi gave his personal permission to use the song in the album after he had listened to the demo version sent to him! ‘Ya stanu morem’ is the only song of the album in Ukrainian, performed in keeping with the best traditions of Ani Lorak’s ballads. The album also includes the remix of the song ‘S pervogo vzgliada’ and two clips – ‘S pervogo vzgliada’ and ‘Ya s toboi’.
‘15’ is a day of a young, energetic, life-loving girl.
Is begins with “the first sight” at this world, “with the first smile, with the first words” of the beloved, and, inspired she is flying “on seven winds” ahead to new impressions. The heroine is confiding – “Steal me, take me with you…” And the minutes are dancing in the whirlwind of events, meeting new people. And if she suddenly remembers the one she was “Looking for” before, the girl does not allow the past to overpower her and just says “I won’t be yours”, and than – to herself: “Ask your heart, with whom it wants to be”, and the heart responds without a shade of hesitation – “Give me back my love”, give me back what I breathe, what I believe in with my each cell. And then comes the power, confidence, drive – now she clearly knows what she wants and what she is ready to do for her love, she wants to scream at the top of her lungs “I’m with you”, and ignite the fire in the hearts of those who hear her. And having done all her business… she is in a hurry for a concert, having sent an SMS “Waiting for you” on her way. And, meeting the eyes of her beloved she says “It’s my life”, my life as it is – colourful, full of drive, I’m not afraid of being happy or sad. And they dance, smiling to each other and to the world. But the day is over, the world is covered with fatigue, and she falls asleep to the words of a lullaby “as the river runs, I will run far away”… she whispers “I’ll become a sea” and sees the kaleidoscope dream, a remix of the day she has lived – from “the first sight” and to…
