Biography
During his high school years, Şecaattin Tanyerli has become interested in Tango, and joined to the Beyoglu Public House Chorus, and attended to the private lessons from Goldenburg. His professional life starts in 1942, and his first recording is in 1948. This record includes “Papatya (Daisy)”, and “Ruzgar Gibi Gecti (Gone Like the Wind)” of Necdet Koyuturk with whom he met during his military service. This record was the start of his fame. In 1949 he started singing in Radio Istanbul first with Necdet Koyuturk, and then Fehmi Ege.
