Biography

Órlagh Fallon (born 24 August 1974 in Knockananna, Ireland), professionally known as Órla Fallon, is a Celtic soloist and a former member of the group Celtic Woman. She plays the harp and sings traditional Irish music, most often in Gaelic. She has performed for the Pope, the President of Ireland and at Carnegie Hall. Her debut album, The Water is Wide, was released to Europe in 2000 and to North America in 2006. In 2005, she was featured on The Duggans album 'Rubicon' along with peers Moya Brennan and other members of Clannad. She has recently been featured as part of Jim Brickman's "It's a Beautiful World" tour and PBS special. On September 22, 2009, she released a new CD, Distant Shore.
