“HOODRAT,” the sixth track on the first installment of Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES trilogy sees the duo taking turns on the track while backed by a repetitive and aggressive “hoodrat.”

The song’s production almost relies entirely on its hard-hitting drums and bass alongside the echoes of “hoodrat” being repeated throughout the refrain and verses, assisting Ye’s classic rap cadence and allowing Ty to bring versatility to the track as he inserts his vocals amidst Ye’s aggressive rapping.

A “hoodrat” is often a term for a woman who goes against the stereotypical ideology of what a woman is. The two rap about how their social standings affect the way women act around them. The track also included a sample from Mike Tyson’s podcast as he spoke about Ye being hated by the industry despite everyone knowing his artistic abilities.

A snippet of the song was first leaked on February 4, 2024, followed by another on February 7. The track was then previewed in its entirety at the Vultures Listening Party on the 8th, resulting in fans flocking to the captivating refrain.
