Thanks informants! I'm officially relieved it wasn't actually him, though I still shoulda huddled back out of PJs to be there, I think. Didn't miss much though; festival was beautifully arranged somehow, minimum clashes. The Childish/Hefner/Jeffner/J'arnielle spree was one of my favourite bits.

oh my god missed jonathan richman tribute! saw young republic doing pub cover band bit in bimble another night.. and missed low's tantrum, got bit bored so wandered off dammit. didn't see hush the many & mumford & sons on line-up..did they play? otherwise amazing, highlights similar to jim below. plus woodpigeon and micah. calexico best headliner by far..too much ego elsewhere.. zombie zombie bit nuts for me (get back to herman cosmic neman!) but maybe needed not to be designated driver to enjoy it properly...

That was just amazing. Highlights include hundreds of people making animal noises during Kimya Dawson's set, all of Bon Iver (particularly that amazing steel guitar he used...gorgeous) and Calexico covering Love. Well done EOTR, well done...

IT WAS GREAT. EXCEPT. Was Jonathan Richman actually there on the Saturday night, unlisted? I went to sleep in our tent and woke up to The New Teller drifting over from probably the Bimble Inn... I figured it was a cover until I heard Ice Cream Man and Roadrunner (reprised about four times) as well. I was too cold to go back and find out, but seriously, was it him and if so WHY WASN'T I INFORMED BEFORE?!

I live a mile from the venue, but not sure if I'll be able to go or not. The line-up is awesome and last year was amazing. It's a beautiful venue, great atmosphere. I'm kinda jealous of all you folks visiting it for the first time or those that have only been to big festivals -- you're in for a treat! Whether I'm there or not, have a great time. I may be standing in my garden with an ear-trumpet.

I'm hoping the weather will at least be dry as going with my wife who is in a wheelchair (mud does nothing for movement) and my four month old son who I ideally want to keep dry but if it does rain I hope you guys will help out if you see us stuck. And also whilst in tents - we went a folk festival where noone was really cool about letting wife to front so she could actually see! I'm lanky but will lean down. Hope it will cool in that respect as we had real shitty year and looking forward to fest. You are welcome to say hello if you see us. In fact it would be nice.

you get stuff going on in the Bimble in for quite a while, there seems to be a lot of DJ stuff arranged this year too. At least two of the stages are in the same field as the camping, the main stage is a very short walk down a path where you get informally asked for your pass but there's not security-ridden barriers like other festivals
