ATP Iceland 2016

Described as the "ultimate mix tape", All Tomorrow's Parties is a boutique festival that goes against the grain of the larger, more commercial music festivals - with quality and customer experience coming first - presenting award winning sound and acclaimed organisation. Since 2000 it has spread its ethos of uniquely intimate and eclectic events through the UK and onwards to Spain, Australia, Japan and the USA.

ATP is very excited to announce the fourth All Tomorrow's Parties festival in Iceland on July 1st, 2nd & 3rd 2016 at Ásbrú - the former air base in Keflavík. Legendary composer John Carpenter (who will be performing his legendary soundtracks as well as new compositions live for the first time ever), will be joined by Sleep, Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall and The Muggers, Angel Olsen, Les Savy Fav, Tortoise, Anika, Yasmine Hamdan, Blanck Mass, Mueran Humanos, Örvar Smárason & Gunnar Tynes of múm (performing live soundtrack to Menschen am Sonntag), comedy from Stewart Lee, plus many many more to be announced!

Dates & Times: The festival takes place over three days - Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July 2016. The music will run from early afternoon until the early hours of the morning each night.

Location: ATP Iceland will be held at Atlantic Studios in Ásbrú, the former NATO base in Keflavík, Iceland. The former NATO base dates back to 1941 and the last US military personnel left in 2006. The site is located only 10 minutes away from Iceland's main international airport, 25 minutes from the famous Blue Lagoon and 45 minutes from Reykjavík. The festival site will host two indoor stages and a cinema with films picked by ATP and the bands, as well as the usual ATP extracurricular activities like DJs, Pop Quiz and much more. The capacity for the intimate festival is just 5000 people.

Ticket types and prices for ATP Iceland
There are various types of tickets available for ATP Iceland:

Weekend tickets
Day tickets
Campsite passes (no festival tickets included)
Bus Returns from Reykjavik (no festival tickets included)
Type 1 - Weekend tickets

A normal festival ticket, which allows access to the weekend event.

For Adults (classed as 16+), these are priced at:
* Tier 1 Early Bird - €64 / 9,500kr inc. booking fee each
* Tier 2 Early Bird - €74.50 / 11,000kr inc. booking fee each
* Tier 3 Early Bird - €85 / 12,750kr inc. booking fee each
* Tier 4 Early Bird - €95.75 / 14,250kr inc. booking fee each
* Tier 5 Early Bird - €106.50 / 15,750kr inc. booking fee each
* Full Price - €127.75 / 19,000kr inc. booking fee each

For Children (classed as 2-15 years old) these are at a set price of €64 / 9,500kr inc. booking fee each.
(Please Note: children under the age of 2 do not require a ticket)

Type 2 - Day tickets

Day Tickets will be available to buy once the bands-per-day line up has been announced.

Type 3 - Campsite passes

For those wishing to save on accommodation costs - ATP Iceland offers passes for the Ásbrú campsite, located just behind Stage 2 (Andrew's Theatre), and the area is reserved for ATP Iceland customers only. Campsite Passes are available to buy online now.

Rent A Tent, the company who run the campsite, also offer a range of pre-pitched tents to hire. Staying with Rent A Tent gives you complimentary Campsite Access for the maximum occupancy of the tent size you choose as well - so no need to purchase Campsite Passes extra if you choose to hire through them.

* Access from midday Friday until early afternoon Monday

* Use of power points to charge devices etc

* Enclosed campground with 24hr security for your peace of mind

Type 4 - Bus Returns from Reyjavik

Those planning to stay in Reykjavík will be able to purchase weekend (on sale online now) or single day bus returns through ATP (on sale closer to the event), which will run from Reykjavík's main bus terminal (BSÍ) to the ATP Iceland festival site at Ásbrú. These buses will leave throughout the afternoon & evening of each day of the event from BSÍ to the festival site, and throughout the late evening & night from the festival site back to BSÍ. Age Restrictions
This is event is open to all ages. Please be aware though that anyone who appears to be under the age of 20 will be asked for ID if attempting to order an alcoholic drink at the bar.

Disabled Access
All ground between the venues is relatively flat, and only 200-300 metres between each.

The main stage (Atlantic Studios), is flat entrance, and has disabled toilets. There is not a viewing platform, but the stage is high, and it has not posed a problem for wheelchair users in the past.

Stage 2 (Andrews Theatre) has an entry ramp, and slopes down from entry into the venue toward the stage for good visibility. There is a disabled toilet in this venue also.

Other Details
What else is there to do apart from the bands? Apart from nursing a hangover, there is the Blue Lagoon, a mere 25 minute drive away (this is not to be missed!), Cinema (with films picked by ATP and the bands), DJs, Book Club, Pop Quiz and of course the town of Keflavík where there are some very nice places to eat, pubs, museums to visit, shopping etc.

Bringing in food and drink from outside into the festival venues is not allowed; ATP Iceland will host its own excellent food and drink stalls. There is also a small shop onsite to buy essentials. Please note that no beer or other alcohol beverages are sold in convenience stores in Iceland.

All Tomorrow's Parties has been promoting festivals and concerts throughout the world for almost sixteen years. It was founded in the wake of Belle and Sebastian’s Bowlie Weekender, with Mogwai curating in the unusual setting of Pontins Holiday Camp, Camber Sands, UK.
