ABOUT: Fort Worth Music Festival – MAY 16 & 17, 2014. The Fort Worth Music
Festival is held in honor of Fort Worth’s deep musical roots. From musical
pioneers and artists as diverse as Country Swing’s Bob Wills and the Texas
Playboys to Jazz Icon Ornette Coleman to Contemporary Innovator T- Bone
Burnett, Fort Worth residents have made an indelible imprint on the music of both
our state and our country. The Fort Worth Music Festival is proud to showcase
the various genres of music that have called our city home. The 2014 Festival will
present Americana, Rhythm & Blues, Pop and Indie Rock, in total 20 bands on 2
stages, to the joy of any music aficionado or any local Texan proud of his
hometown. In addition, the 2014 Fest will present artwork exhibits, food trucks
and groovy local vendors. Past national artists who have graced the FWMF
stages include Galactic, Dawes, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Dr. Dog, Hayes Carll,
Charles Bradley, Meat Puppets, Kevin Eubanks and many more.The Fort Worth
Music Festival is a celebration of those things which make Fort Worth the vibrant,
growing city it is. The festival is produced by Marsha Milam Music and Spune
Productions.
