Description

From Consequence of Sound:

On April 20th, Ft. Lauderdale’s downtown nightlife will succumb to the inaugural Block x Blog Music Festival brought to you by Consequence of Sound, Subculture, and 3-J Hospitality. This one-night, landmark event celebrates the 8-bit analog culture through the city’s thriving local arts scene spread over three premier venues all under one roof: Revolution Live, Green Room, and America’s Backyard.

Brooklyn DFA royalty Holy Ghost! will headline the event with a festival bill rounded out by the best of the best in local talent including the Jacuzzi Boys, Krisp, Lil Daggers, Millionyoung, Ex Norwegian, Deaf Poets, Plains, Suede Dudes, The Gun Hoes, KILL MAMA, Sound Sleeper, Rebel, Boxwood, The Goddamn Hustle, Shroud Eater, and Lavola.

Beat enthusiasts such as our recent CoSign AbdeCaf, Afrobeta, JAMS, Bleubird, Protoman, Astrea Corportation, Jabrhaw, EONS, Gaps, Tonx, Andie Sweetswirl, JimitheGenius, The Politix, and Phaxas will also provide music throughout the night’s entertainment between the three venues.

Outside of music, the festival will host popular local vendors such as Radio Active Records (celebrating Record Store Day at the Green Room), Limited Fanfare Records, Black Locust Society, Iron Forge Press, Jerry’s Artarama, Vinyl Militia, and more. Also, there will be a number of food trucks on site to provide food and drinks.

Entry to see the artists performing in Revolution Live and Green Room is priced at $25 and tickets are currently on-sale via Ticketmaster. The rest of the festival, including access to America’s Backyard, will be open to all-ages from 6:00-10:00 p.m. and 18+ from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m..
