About
Am Samstag 1. September 2012, von 14 bis 22 Uhr, findet zum zweiten Mal das Torstraßen Festival in Berlin-Mitte statt. In ausgewählten Clubs, Bars und Cafés auf und rund um die Torstraße vibrieren die Bühnen mit einem Soundtrack, befreit von Genres, international, aktuell und immer ein paar Schritte abseits des Mainstreams. Das Festival präsentiert etablierte Künstler genauso wie Newcomer, ob einheimisch, zugezogen oder auf der Durchreise.
Das Torstraßen Festival steht für einen gemischten Kiez mit alten und neuen Strukturen, für die Läden und Orte, die teilweise schon viele Jahre lang Musikkultur in den Stadtraum bringen und damit für Musik als Teil urbanen Lebens.
Wer Lust hat auf eine musikalische Entdeckungstour, wird sich beim Torstraßen Festival wohl fühlen. Der Ticketverkauf startet am 1. Juni 2012.

On saturday, the 1st of september 2012 between 2pm and 10pm, the Torstraßen Festival will take place again for the second time in Berlin-Mitte. Stages will vibrate in selected clubs, bars and cafés on and around Torstraße, showcasing a left field and cross-genre soundtrack, international, and contemporary. The festival presents established artists along with newcomers, natives, expats, and touring acts.
Torstraßen Festival stands for and promotes a mix of the old and new structures in our neighborhood, it showcases and supports venues that have been bringing music culture into the city, many of them for years and a few unlikely venues that allow the music to shine in a new light without the usual background. We stand for music as an integral part of urban life.
