Chairlift make their Irish bow at the Academy 2 on Saturday 4 April Tickets priced €14.50 incl. booking fee are on sale at all usual Ticketmaster outlets from tomorrow, Friday 30 January.

The Brooklyn based electro pop trio are gearing up for the release of their new album Does You Inspire You due out later this year. Originally started as a project between Aaron Pfenning and Caroline Polachek to make background music for haunted houses they were joined by bassist Kyle McCabe for the recording of their debut EP, Daylight Savings. Shortly after Chairlift signed to Kanine Records in 2007 added Patrick Wimberly to the group.

Chairlift’s songs Bruises was featured in the TV ad for the 4th generation iPod Nano.
