Following on from the Herbert album, ‘Bodily Functions’ (2001) Matthew Herbert now returns with 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxophones, a piano, bass, drums and a new album, ‘Goodbye Swing time’. Along with vocal performances from Arto Lindsay, Jamie Lidell (Super Collider), Dani Siciliano (Herbert) and Mara Carlyle (Plaid), the album features premier musicians from the UK jazz scene including Dave O’Higgins (saxophone), Dave Green (bass), Stuart Brooks (trumpet), Phil Parnell (piano) and Pete Cater (drums).
