Description
They Eat Culture and Cloudspotting Music and Arts Festival have joined forces to bring you one very special concert to Preston on Wednesday, August 24th.
Amidst a slew of summer festival shows and a big venue tour in the autumn, American songwriter Ezra Furman will perform at The Continental, in a close-up intimate gig, with his band The Boyfriends.
Indie-rock's ultimate endearing misfit, Chicago-based Furman scaled new heights with his 6th album - Perpetual Motion People, on Bella Union - an album that adorned many a 'Best of' chart for 2015, adding to his already burgeoning reputation as a highly creative recording artist and scintillating live performer.
Furman, whose progress has been championed to the hilt across BBC Radio 6Music's network of broadcasters, made three albums with The Harpoons before crowd-funding a superb solo record, The Year of No Returning. It's fair to say The Day of the Dog really did it for him though, DJ Marc Riley recently nominating it as one of the top 5 records of the decade so far!
The charismatic Chicagoan thrilled the audience when he headlined the Sunday night at last year's Cloudspotting Festival at Gisburn Forest. We are very pleased to bring him back to the North West for this exclusive gig.
EZRA FURMAN is here, plus support, on Wednesday 24th August 2016.
