Peaking Lights

PEAKING LIGHTS, the husband and wife duo of Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis, channel a rich background in dedicating their lives to music, touring, and pushing artistic boundaries into previously unknown sonic landscapes. Finding themselves in a cross country move from the Bay Area to a house built into a barn in rural Wisconsin, PEAKING LIGHTS' sound was created with humility and love with a personal touch, directed by Aaron’s home built synths, effects units, and rhythm machines. The duo has maintained a sound distinction all of their own, fusing influences as wide ranging as Afrobeat, disco, psychedelic rock, synth pop, Krautrock, reggae and noise into songs that are as smooth, lush and elegant as they are propulsive, rhythmic and noisy. Lucifer is the third full length LP from PEAKING LIGHTS and it was released on Mexican Summer/Weird World in June of 2012. With it, the golden duo of Aaron Doyes and Indra Dunis continue to crystallize their mesmerising sound and find new dimensions within. ANT'LRD is the solo collage-ambient,sometimes-beat, loopidelic cloud of Chicago multi-instrumentalist COLIN BLANTON. Since relocating to Chicago from Birmingham, AL in 2011, Colin has been steadily bending ears with his unique blend of found-meets-wall of sound approach that continues to change and evolve with each new release. With two full lengths under his belt on the labels Watery Starve and BARO records, ANT'LRD continues to roll forward with future releases on Digitalis and Sacred Phrases in 2k14.
