Popfrenzy are delighted to announce the triumphant return of Atlanta’s untouchable indie-rock quintet Deerhunter to Australian shores this summer. The band will be playing headline shows along the east coast in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, plus a headline performance at this year’s Meredith Music Festival.
Riding high on the success of their latest album Monomania released earlier this year, the band has levitated to new heights, given the esteemed honour of curating the last ever All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in the UK.
Since their inception in 2001, the band has undergone a plethora of lineup, stylistic and genre changes. The group describes their sound as ‘ambient punk’, with critics labeling their music everything from shoegaze to neo-glam. Monomania is the latest testament to an undeniably brilliant and ever changing band, not settling for one particular style or identity; always striving for innovation and inimitability.
